Ada Ekwueme-Oguike
Ada Ekwueme-Oguike is the founder and creative director of Lighthouse Interior Design, a Lagos-based studio crafting thoughtful, story-driven spaces across the residential and hospitality sectors. With a signature style rooted in memory and meaning, she believes that great design isn’t just seen—it’s felt.
Her journey into design began in the most formative way: as a child wandering through the architectural studio of her father, the late Dr. Alex Ekwueme—renowned architect, Nigeria’s first Vice President, and founder of the country’s first indigenous architectural practice.Â
Surrounded by models, drawings, and the quiet hum of creativity, Ada developed an early fascination with space and structure. It was there the seed was planted for a design philosophy that now defines her work: that spaces should tell stories, stir emotions, and connect deeply with those who move through them.
Through Lighthouse, Ada brings this philosophy to life—curating layered, intentional environments that reflect a sense of place, purpose, and personality. From boutique hotels to short-let apartments and private residences, her work blends refined aesthetics with quiet storytelling, creating spaces that feel as good as they look.
